| facts
of PNG: |
|
The population is over 5 million, with a land mass about the size
of Texas. There are over 750 different languages spoken. The common
language is Pidgin. The largest churches are Lutheran and Catholic.
The country is very mountainous, with small islands. PNG is very primitive
in lifestyle and culture. Men still buy their wives with pigs and
money in most of the country. Family gardens are the main source of
food. As of April 2004, the ALJC has 43 licensed ministers with 36
Churches around PNG. We also have an operating Minsters Training Center
located in Mt. Hagen. |
